How to Return to the Classic Editor on WordPress 5

When you upgrade to WordPress 5, you will be faced with a Gutenberg editor. Gutenberg is an upcoming WordPress editor which will replace the classic WordPress editor. With regard to the new style of editor in content management, two issues will be important. First, there are a lot of users who still want to manage their content in the previous way; secondly, there are many plugins that are still not compatible with the Gutenberg editor and their performance will be disrupted.

WordPress makes it easy to disable Gutenberg and return to using the classic editor. Classic Editor restores the previous Edit Post screen and makes it possible to use the WordPress plugins that extend it, add old-style meta boxes, or otherwise depend on the previous editor.

All done !!! The WordPress Editor is now back to the previous version. To be able to switch between the Gutenberg editor and the classic editor, go to Settings, Writing and change “default editor for all users”.
